We use some types of waterproof wire and cable assembly, like IP-rated assemblies, in our cable assembly systems.

Production capacity:

Cable assemblies are often used in environments unsuitable for electronic types of equipment, such as high humidity conditions, fully submerged in water, or other liquids.
As an experienced waterproof cable assembly supplier, we can provide cables that use various technologies to achieve varying levels of waterproofing (IP67, IP68, etc.).

Depending on your custom configuration, we use several cable terminations to make waterproof wire and cable assembly. 

For overmolded connectors, we utilize:

  • Carefully matched materials to ensure an internal seal between the cable molding, cable jacket, and connector. 
  • Rubber O-rings and front-mounted compression seal to further improve the waterproofing.

For non-molded assemblies, cable assembly offers:

  • OEM cable connector products that use different waterproofing technologies.
  • Back-filling connectors with potting.
  • Bulkhead-mounted connectors that seal against the panel to IP levels.

Waterproof USB cable assemblies

Cloom has offered a series of IP67-rated, waterproof USB 3.0 cable assemblies. In addition to threaded couplings and O-ring seals that ensure IP67-rated protection from water and dust, the waterproof USB cable assemblies feature a waterproof connector on one end of the body.

The new cable assemblies now have panel-mount IP67 Type-B male plugs to standard Type-B male plugs and Type-A female jacks to standard Type-A male plugs. These assemblies are used to connect USB devices to a panel or enclosure.
